That's right nerdarenos, The Nerdery turns five today!
Give yourselves and the artists a pat on the back and an approving nod for reaching this milestone.
Cheers,

Having some problems associated with The Nerdery? Hopefully, this Q & A will help. *I want to join, but I'm getting a message that says you're not accepting any new members! What gives? - Yeah, I don't know what's going on there. In spite of my fiddling around with the settings to make it so that anyone can join, this message still pops up for some people. The only work around I can think of is to send me (soren7550) a note saying that you wish to join, and I'll send you an invite as soon as I can. *I found this art that looks like it's up your alley, but I'm not sure where to put it! Care to enlighten me? - No problem! It's pretty basic what goes where, so here's the run down: Featured - The best of the best are displayed here! Games - All of the video game, card game, and tabletop game related works go here. Cosplays, Accessories, Etc. - Basically, all your IRL works. Movies, Shows, Comics, Books - From the big screen to your home screen, panel to text, you'll see them all here. Manga, Anime - Get a load of all your Shonens, Japananimes, and the like right here! Favorites - All of the above are found here! *Uh-oh, the work I wish to submit falls into multiple categories! Where should I put it? - Well, that all depends on the work in question. For something more straightforward (such as a work with Korra and a Big Daddy), just submit it to the folders that it applies to (in this case, Games and Movies/Shows). But it gets complicated if the work you wish to submit could fall into one folder or another, depending on what the artist was trying to depict. Such as Batman. Is it a movie/show version, or a comic version? Or how about Pokemon? It could fall into either Video Games, Movies/Shows/Comics/Books, and/or Manga/Anime! In cases like that, try your best to figure out what the artist was going for, and make your judgement based off of that. If you're still not sure, push come to shove, put it in all the folders it can apply to. *That's good to know. Now, any works you don't accept? - As a general rule, try to only submit good, high quality works, but that criteria can be subjective and vary from person to person. So try to use your best judgement when submitting something to the group, and look through what we have in our folders to get a general idea of the quality we are looking for. The more solid no-nos are fan fictions and story driven comics. That is because since they can go on for quite a while, and can be very long, it's harder to determine if they're good or not, and again, that opinion can be subjective. But as of now, we're not accepting those works. Maybe in the future though! We also don't accept OCs, stamps, pictures of products, non-IP based works, and/or themed work. I hope that helps clear things up. |
